Honey & Warmth

from Death Of The Album by The Long Lost Band

/

lyrics

It’s been some time but I still hear the song sound on high
It cuts through the roar of the storm that whips round in my mind
In comes the sun like an old friend I’ve not seen for days
You know what I mean when I say I am touched by the rays like a hand

I need an escapist to help keep me sane in this fight
And when I am rested I’ll come back to put it to flight
Out go the rules and in comes the colourful truth
You know what I mean when I say give it up, cut it loose from the chains

Come to see you in new light
Nothing static, sweet with bite
If I wanted, now it’s mine

Speak in tongues for love
Sail on seas of change
Honey and warmth on my face
Time for the battle can wait for my word

Out go the rules and in comes the colourful truth
You know what I mean when I say give it up, cut it loose from the chains

Come to see you in new light
Nothing static, sweet with bite
If I wanted, now it’s mine

Speak in tongues for love
Sail on seas of change
Honey and warmth on my face
Time for the battle can wait for my word
